Live Blogging The Filmfare Award Night
Think about this, how is it to be part of an event where you find the best of film artists from South India? to witness their long cherished dream come true, where they hold that Black Beauty!
I have been selected and am one among the 6 official Bloggers for the 57th Filmfare Awards function (Southern edition).
I happen to stumble upon Access Atlantech’s site where they were looking for Bloggers who could live blog the Filmfare Award function.
Filmfare Awards South is the South Indian segment of the annual Filmfare Awards (by The Times Group), and are given for films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada language.
And here is some interesting trivia about Filmfare
Kamal Haasan holds the record of winning maximum number of Filmfare awards, 17 times!
Lata Mangeshkar refused to accept her first Filmfare award because the Filmfare statuette was designed in the shape of a woman and “the woman had no clothes on”; the award had to be wrapped with a handkerchief for it to be accepted by Lataji
Vani Ganpathi and Kamal Haasan got married on the day of the 25th Filmfare Awards; they attended the award night with their garlands still around their necks.
This year the Southern edition of Filmfare Award ceremony is happening at Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Aug 7, 2010
