Over the past few years there is a surge in startups in India. In most of the events I attend, I see at least a dozen startups showcased. And believe me there are some very interesting startups. Now ever wondered how to get a database of startups fromIndia? Here is one interesting place where you could find all the startups from India. YourStory Pages is a database of all things related to the Indian startup ecosystem.
YourStory.in has been involved in the Indian startup ecosystem for nearly 4 years, and in that time they have covered thousands of startups and featured many stories about the efforts, success (and sometimes failures) of these startups. Modeled after Wikipedia, this database is editable by anyone. So feel free to look around, and edit & add data about your startups.
Within a week of launch, we have over 700 companies that listed their profiles on Pages. The offering is currently in beta. The idea behind this initiative by Yourstory is to become the one-stop shop for all structured information about startups, apps, investors, VCs, mentors, service providers and more. And YourStory Pages is definitely a one stop shop for all these information.
By creating this database of information, it would be easier for entrepreneurs, service providers, investors and mentors to find each other.
After successful round tables at Hyderabad,Mumbai,Delhi,Chennai and Ahmedabad, TechSparks 2012 is all set for the grand finale at Bengaluru. The Round tables were a massive success with overwhelming response. The Roundtables are a meeting ground for entrepreneurs to come and network and takeaway valuable inputs from the keynote speech and Panel discussion. This year’s Roundtables also had a Product Workshop as a key highlight which gave budding entrepreneurs guidelines for building a world-class product so that they don’t reinvent the wheel.
Along with showcasing the top 20 product tech companies, the “Tech30 Report” is generated as an output of Techsparks . This benchmark report found it’s worth in the fact that the 2011 report had 30 companies of which 14 have already been funded, 1 has been acquired and one went on to acquire a company.
The Grand Finale of TechSparks™ is expected to be a premier destination for substantive networking, with CXO-level technology corporates, leading investors (VCs angels), national media and delegates from US, Europe and China expected to be in attendance. For the presenting companies, TechSparks will provide the much-needed validation and presence that product technology companies require in order to raise investments, acquire customers and attain scale globally.
The event is on 8 Sep at MLR Convention Centre, Whitefield, Bengaluru.

Onam is here and being a malayali, this is my grandest of all festivals. And Onam is really a big festival back in Kerala but then when you are a NRK (Non Resident Keralite or marunadan malayali) you tend to lose the real fun and flavour of Onam festival.
Neverthless we try our level best to recreate Onam. That includes creating the pookalam, preparing and having Onam sadhya, the grand feast.
When it comes to grand feast, I am certain that Malayalis in Chennai and Bangalore will not be missing much. As always during Onam season Ente Keralam restaurant has come up with grand Onam Ela Sadhya. The grand feast will be from Aug 20th to Sep 2nd.
Ela Sadya is a pure vegetarian meal that consists of traditional delicacies served on a banana leaf. The Onam Sadya will include a special assortment of 24 items that include two payasams, two pradhaman, four kinds of fried chips, four unique pickles, kaalan, olan, thoran, errusery, avial, sambhar, rasam and more.
So enjoy this onam with Grand Onam Ela Sadhya at Ente Keralam.
