Scenes From A 100 yrs Old Chettinad House
It was interesting to go around and appreciate this huge, 54 rooms Chettinad house at Devakottai.
This majestic Chettinad house, named RM.M.ST house is at Devakottai. You will hardly miss this house while passing through Devakottai on Rameshwaram road.
This building was constructed almost 100 years back. The materials used are from different parts of the Wold
Floor tiles from Italy, Burma teak and Chinese glass
Found some very interesting things, gigantic Idlly plate, bags and boxes made of wood and bamboo, hospital carbolic soap from England
Now am planning to visit Devakottai again, to see a dozen more houses like this
The Great Zodiac Sign Shift
For the last 32 years I was strong,had an attractive personality, was sensitive, gentle and patient but from Jan 1 onwards
I have become serious,independent and strong willed. I am hardworking and responsible now( peopel who work with me, please notice this point) I am unemotional and at times shrewd, practical and no longer a dreamer.
No this is not some New Year resolution or something.
Due to changes in the earth’s rotation,the wobbly orbit has changed the way the planet is aligned to the stars. and this has resulted in how Earth is related to the stars, end result,
My zodiac sign has changed, from aquarius to Capricon.
As a result of this planetory changes, my compatibility has gone for a toss. I no longer compatible to Gemini and Libra,Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. My new compatibility list is Taurus and Virgo,Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.
Now my likes and dislikes have also changed considerably, have a look
I used to like fighting for Causes, but not now. Dreaming was one of my strong traits but no longer I like to dream, because
now I think its a go nowhere job
Now I am totally confused!!! should I change my behaviour according to the stars or will it change automatically

Chennai-Pondy Heritage Rally 2011 Flags Off
The first Hindu Chennai- Pondy Heritage Rally 2011 flagged off with lots of fanfare and fun at VGP resorts
It was really going back in a time machine as close to 40 vintage cars lined up at VGP resorts
The Rally was organised by The hindu along with The Madras Heritage Motoring Club. The rally is for 2 days, Jan 8-9.
The Rally featured World famous brands like Austin, Morris Minor, Land Master, Bug Fiat, Chevrolet, Dodge Brothers, Studebaker
Plymouth, Hindustan 14, Vw, Merc, Jaguar, Peugot, Ford Mustang, Mini Cooper, Volvo, Willyis Jeep, Chrysler Windsor, Citron
Some of the highlights of the show were, 1927 Austin Seven Cummy Tourer, 1946 model Citron , was the first front wheel drive in the World, 1948 Second World war Willyis Jeep
iI happened to meet some owners of the car, what they say is that unless you don’t have real passion, patience and good contacts, you can’t maintain vintage cars.
The rally was flagged off by Latika Saran IPS, DGP, she thanked all the sponsors for orgasining Heritage Rally and hoped that all these will help in making Chennai a place with more disciplined driving and less road accidents.
